The Insurance Charities give vital financial and practical
support to past and present employees of the insurance industry who
have spent at least five years either working as insurance officials
or within an insurance company or intermediary, regardless of their
type of work. Support is also given to their dependent relatives, who
are suffering financial hardship.
We collect at our Meetings to support the needs of
the Charity and over the years have raised thousands of pounds.
We would emphasise that all enquiries are treated
in the strictest confidence.
During 2010/2011, the Insurance Institute of Preston & Blackpool donated the magnificent sum of £1,500 to The Insurance Charities.
We can be justifiably proud of our record of support for OUR charity, but we must not rest on our laurels. More than ever before, The Insurance Charities is providing vital financial and practical support to past and present employees of the insurance industry and their dependent relatives who are suffering financial hardship. Anyone who has spent at least five years either working as insurance officials or within an insurance company or intermediary, regardless of their type of work is eligible to apply for assistance and this includes an increasing number of young people whose lives have been devastated by illness or injury.
I am delighted that Roy Winter, who for several years has done an exceptional job as TIC representative, has agreed to continue visiting and liaising with local claimants and beneficiaries on our behalf.
During the year, there will be a number of fund raising events and opportunities. II hope that we can rely on your support, not only in raising funds, but in increasing the profile of the charity and in identifying potential claimants.
If you would like to know more about TIC and its work, please visit www.theinsurancecharities.org.uk or phone me on 07743 825818 in strictest confidence.
Thanks for your support in the past and in the future.
Have a great year.
